According to Punch, the Federal Government has commissioned a 3MW solar hybrid power project at Yakubu Gowon University in Abuja under the second phase of the Energising Education Programme.
The project is intended to improve electricity reliability for teaching, research, laboratories and other campus operations. Punch reported that the project was delivered with the Rural Electrification Agency and the World Bank-funded Nigeria Electrification Project.
