A total of 24 Nigerian universities successfully secured spots on the global ranking ladder this year, marking a commendable increase from the 21 institutions recorded in previous evaluation cycles. This achievement officially positions Nigeria as the most represented country in Sub-Saharan Africa within the global index. Crucially, 17 of these ranked institutions are public federal universities, which the minister highlighted as a clear sign of progress in restoring institutional standard and academic vitality back into public higher education.
