According to an official announcement by @davido on Twitter/X, the multi-award-winning Afrobeats megastar is set to release his highly anticipated sixth studio album, titled Oriadé, on July 31, 2026. The revelation was accompanied by a cinematic video teaser showing the singer adorned in traditional, regal Yoruba attire complete with a crown and throne.
The upcoming body of work marks a symbolic milestone for the artist, coinciding exactly with his 15th anniversary in the mainstream music industry. Named after the Yoruba words for destiny and crown, the project is described by the singer as a deeply personal creative homecoming.
Unlike his previous long-form albums, Oriadé will feature a leaner tracklist of just 13 songs, making it the shortest studio project of his career. The campaign for the album officially kicked off following the recent arrival of its lead single, “I Know Who I Be.”
Confirming the development in an exclusive interview with Channels Television, the entertainment desk noted that “the project succeeds 5ive, an album that continued Davido’s impressive commercial run.” Furthermore, an industry feature by The Plug Entertainment highlighted that “the announcement featured a striking video clip soundtracked by a rousing eulogy delivered in Yoruba.”
