A building, located at 56 Command Road by Onitolo Street, Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos has partially collapsed due to heavy rainfall.
The incident, which occurred Monday, was confirmed by the Lagos State Emergency Agency (LASEMA) in a statement it posted on its twitter page.
“It was discovered that the wall of an uninhabited two-room bungalow collapsed. Further investigation gathered at the scene of the incident revealed that the wall of the two-room bungalow collapsed due to heavy rainfall.”
While no lives were lost, the agency moved to avert any form of accident.
“No mortality nor injuries recorded at the scene of the incident. The affected area was condoned off to prevent a secondary incident”, LASEMA explained.
