In a report carried by Punch, the Federal Government said its creative-industry strategy is targeting two million jobs by 2030.
The plan links culture, film, music, fashion, tourism and digital production to wider diversification goals, but financing, intellectual-property enforcement and workforce skills remain central constraints.
The News Agency of Nigeria quoted the target as “two million jobs,” while the Federal Ministry of Information said the sector is being integrated into the government’s economic framework through “Destination Nigeria.”
Echotitbits take: The headline number matters, but implementation, disclosure and measurable outcomes will determine whether the announcement improves household welfare or productive investment.
