The Nigerian Army’s 23 Brigade denied allegations that soldiers shot civilians during a communal clash in Lamurde LGA, Adamawa. The brigade said two women reported dead were allegedly killed due to militia members’ mishandling of weapons.
The army said joint forces responded to the violence and urged communities to embrace peace amid longstanding inter-communal tensions.
