FEC Approves N2.9bn For Printing SSCE, Basic Education Exam Material

The Federal Executive Council has approved the sum of N2.9 billion for the printing of materials for the upcoming Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE), common entrance and basic education exams.

The approval was disclosed by the Minister of Education, Mr Adamu Adamu, during a briefing with State House correspondents after Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja.

The Minister revealed that that the production of the materials will be contracted to eight printing companies.

Also approved by the FEC was a N900 million fund for the rehabilitation of roads in Gwagwalada township and N719 million for the upgrade of roads in Kwali Area Council.

Adamu confirmed that the road projects are expected to be completed within six months.
