In an Instagram video uploaded by @portablebaeby, controversial street-pop singer Portable explained his decision to walk out of his celebrity boxing rematch against Nollywood actor Charles Okocha at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos.
Portable claimed that Okocha violated fight rules by biting his back and gripping his neck excessively during the bout. He emphasized that the event was billed as a controlled celebrity exhibition rather than a street brawl, further alleging that event organizers reneged on a promise to send him to London for fight preparation.
His abrupt exit resulted in an immediate disqualification, awarding the victory to Okocha.
Reporting on the aftermath, YNaija stated that Portable’s walkout “led to his disqualification and handed victory to the actor”. TVC News corroborated the narrative, documenting that “Portable apologised after quitting Okocha boxing rematch” following his public grievance.
