The “Unavailable” crooner posted a photograph of a brand-new, futuristic electric Tesla Cybertruck alongside a heartfelt message expressing his love for Mayorkun and instructing his associate to handle the delivery.
The high-end electric vehicle, which features a distinctive stainless-steel exterior, carries a hefty price tag. While the Cybertruck retails in the United States between $70,000 and $100,000, importation duties and logistical costs place its estimated value in Nigeria between ₦200 million and ₦340 million.
Mayorkun was originally signed to Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) in 2016 before establishing his independent music outfit in 2021. Despite stepping out on his own, the two artists have consistently maintained a close brotherhood, frequently celebrating each other’s milestones publicly.
Confirming the lavish gift, **Punch Newspapers** reported on its official website that “Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has gifted singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, better known as Mayorkun, a Tesla Cybertruck,” citing the singer’s Sunday night social media update. Additionally, entertainment platform **TheNET.ng** corroborated the gesture, noting that “Davido continues to demonstrate his signature generosity towards his industry peers and former signees” as fans across social media celebrated the bond between both hitmakers.
This extravagant gift reinforces Davido’s long-standing reputation for generosity and brotherhood within the Afrobeats industry. Beyond the flashy price tag, it sends a strong message about sustaining supportive professional and personal relationships even after artists transition away from record label contracts.
