According to an exclusive interview published by Punch Newspaper, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, fiancé of the late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, alleged that she passed away inside an Ikorodu police station in Lagos State.
His statement contradicts earlier widespread public reports attributing her death solely to breast cancer complications. Onadeko recounted receiving a midnight call informing him that Osoba had died while visiting a local station following a personal dispute.
He clarified that while she had previously undergone cancer surgery, the illness was not the immediate cause of her sudden demise. Onadeko also denied social media allegations regarding financial misappropriation of her medical donations.
Providing further coverage, Vanguard Newspaper detailed Onadeko’s account, quoting him directly: “It was a random person that called me around 12 am that she died in a police station in Ikorodu”. In addition, Tribune Online corroborated his financial denial, recording his response that “I never had access to her money… it wasn’t my account they sent the money to, it was hers”.
These explosive claims introduce serious legal and procedural questions regarding the circumstances surrounding the late actress’s final hours. A formal investigation and official statement by the Lagos State Police Command will be required to clarify what transpired.
