Reporting by **Vanguard** indicates that the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA) is intensifying its industrial partnership with China following a strategic tour of manufacturing hubs in Guangzhou. The delegation, led by President Jani Ibrahim, is pushing for Nigeria to replicate the “production-driven” economy of China by establishing wholesale hubs that attract continental buyers.

The visit resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade to facilitate technology transfer. NACCIMA’s leadership emphasized that for Nigeria to benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), it must move from being a consumer of Chinese goods to a manufacturer using similar advanced systems.

**Leadership** noted that “NACCIMA is seeking to bridge the infrastructure gap through Chinese partnerships,” while **Tribune** reported that “the delegation toured the Wanli Tire Corporation to study automated supply chain management.”

**Echotitbits take:** Emulating the Chinese model requires more than just MoUs; it demands a stable power supply and reduced port congestion. This move signals a shift in NACCIMA’s focus toward “technical diplomacy,” which could be the key to reviving Nigeria’s struggling manufacturing sector.
