According to court filings reported by NBC 6 Miami, the mother of celebrity blogger Perez Hilton filed an emergency petition for temporary custody of his three children.
The legal filing occurred after Hilton was hospitalized under Florida’s Baker Act following a disturbing livestream incident at his Miami home.
Family members confirmed that the children were safely escorted out of the residence before law enforcement intervention and are currently under family care.
Confirming the legal process, The Guardian reported on its media desk that court documents filed in Miami-Dade County show the petition, quoting a family statement: “When it became clear that Perez was experiencing a severe mental health crisis… they immediately fled to protect the children”. Additionally, the New York Post published a summary report on web, quoting Miami-Dade Sheriff officials who confirmed that “Hilton was Baker-Acted and remains hospitalized in stable condition”.

This serious mental health crisis has drawn intense focus onto social media livestreaming safety policies and creator well-being. The court’s primary focus will remain the immediate welfare and stability of the children while Hilton receives medical evaluation.
