The dispute centers on unremitted Ticket Sales Charges (TSC) and workers’ rights to join trade unions.
Presiding over the meeting virtually, the minister facilitated a five-point resolution aimed at preventing industrial action that previously disrupted flight schedules at domestic airports. Under the new agreement, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and agency finance directors will establish individual, realistic debt repayment schedules with affected airlines within one week.
Furthermore, the ministry affirmed that workers maintain the constitutional right to unionize without management interference. Keyamo instructed the NCAA to sanction any airline that blocks union officials from distributing membership forms directly to aviation staff.
