At a tourism forum covered by Nigerian Tribune, tourism stakeholders are urging wider use of digital tools to simplify domestic travel and improve access to Nigerian destinations.
The call emerged from the Domestic Tourism Festival in Enugu, where operators discussed technology, travel distribution and the economic potential of domestic tourism.
Better booking systems, digital payments, destination information and transport integration could reduce friction for travellers, but security and infrastructure remain equally important.
Radio Nigeria Enugu independently corroborated the core development, reporting that “Innovation and Technology for Peaceful Domestic Tourism”. A second genuinely independent public report was not located during this review, so further confirmation remains limited.
Echotitbits take: The development is worth watching for its practical effect on households, businesses, investors or public institutions. The next signal will be implementation, measurable outcomes and whether the responsible institutions publish follow-through data.
